Feverish

Still reeling over this book. .. my heart is still thumping and blood still racing over the heat and passion in this book.  The self doubt in Emily's life about what she wants to do in her career and in her life is something I think we can all relate to. And then to have hidden desires for someone you work so closely to didn't help make those decisions easier.  On the other hand there's Clay/Jet. .. complicated, sexy, caring, rough, gentle, battling his own feelings and desires. Jade for this I give you and Jet and Feverish 5 huge stars. If I could 10 I would.  Any book that still makes me feel simmering everyday since finishing it definitely has my vote!

Feverish by Jade Jamison

OMG!!! What can I say about Feverish but hot, hot, hot...This book is an absolute must read. I wasn't able to put it down. Jet/Clay was so captivating. When Emily Brinkman walked into his life, the chemistry was immediate even though she was engaged to someone else. (Not that Jet cared about that). He promised himself he would keep this relationship professional and so did she even though the fire was there. Jet is the hard rocker sex god whereas Clay was the sweet, caring, gentle guy. Who he was going to be was always a question. But when he offered Emily himself to her as Jet, she shrugged it off until he "douchewad" fiancé cuddled up to some sleazoids in Europe. She asked for Jet, but she got so much more and so did he.

Jade really outdid herself with this book. It captivated me and reeled me in to find out what the man behind the rockstar was. I was pleasantly surprised and fell in love with Clay/Jet all over again. A MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!

Against the Wall

I just finished Against the Wall by Julie Prestsater. It is the story of a girl who falls in love with her childhood sweetheart. They are engaged when before the wedding he calls it off. She is heart broken and what is worse, they teach in the same high school and he begins dating another teacher. So she has to see them together every day and her best friend Mel is going through a similar situation with her love life with the exception that her husband is a lawyer who "works" late hours. So Shelly, the main character decides to close her heart and try to get over Chase as best she can. Her other best friend and colleague Matty decides he wants to ask her out and will not "go there" with her until she is finally over Chase and is ready to say, "I love you" and mean it to him.
This is a funny, romantic, heart warming story of two teachers who beat the odds. I guess it touches me more so than other people because I am a teacher and know how that daily grind of working with kids all day can get exhausting. This is a great story and it is the first in a trilogy. I am now reading the second book, Between the Sheets. I am hoping it will be just as captivating as Against the Wall.

Rock Bottom

I absolutely loved Bullet and Rock Bottom by Jade Jamison.  I went from disliking Ethan in the first book to really liking him in the second.  I didn't like the way he treated Val, but respected the way he wanted to become a better man for Chris and Jenna. I believe in happily ever after when you work for it and fight for it.  Both of these books are must reads.  I have recommended it to everyone I know.

Finding It

October 17, 2013
Well I finally finished Finding It by Cora Carmack. What a great story. I was a little disappointed by the ending though. I wanted to know what happened with Kelsey and Jackson. I wanted to know if she ever went home to confront her parents and where they ended up. It has a good plot and it was very easy to follow. I am hoping she writes more books about the other characters in her original story, Losing It. A good read and I highly recommend it.

I am now looking forward to Jade Jamison's book Feverish. I have read several excerpts on Shh Mom's Reading Site and have seen the cover. If this book is anything like Bullet and Rock Bottom, I'm sure this one will be a page turner as well!! Can't wait Jade!!
